Social Settings

Maian Music supports various social plugins to help promote your music across the social websites. Most social sharing is free and is good way to market your music. It is recommended you utilise social sharing even if you aren't a fan of the social networking system.

Enables visitors to comment on your music. This software supports the comments systems shown in the dropdown. You can also add in your own comments system (such as a self hosted solution) by editing the templates. Supported comments overview as follows:

Disqus (disqus.com) - Enter disqus shortname and category ID (Optional).

Intense Debate (intensedebate.com) - Enter account ID.

Hyvor Talk (talk.hyvor.com) - Enter Website ID.

Commento (commento.io) - No options are required. Sign up and enter your URL before activating.

Facebook Comments (developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/comments/) - An AppID is required for your comments to work.

Make sure you sign up for an account where applicable and complete any options required before activating in this software. Also, please note the restrictions with this plugin if you are based in the E.U.

At least one option must be enabled for the comments system to work. Check out the websites above for more information and further customisation. Files related to the comments plugins can be found in the following folder:

content/**theme**/html/comments/*

Note that for most comments plugins you must enter your domain as an allowed domain in their settings.

For Twitter API integration. If enabled, you can post tweets direct from your music control panel.

Sign up for credentials here, then enter details in your control panel.

The Twitter username is for Twitter cards ONLY (Other tab). If you don't wish to enable the API, but want to use Twitter cards, just enter your username. More info on the Twitter API here.

Here you can add social links. You can add as many as you need, but links should not be duplicated. Too add new links do the following:

1 In the first box enter the Font Awesome v5.0+ class name. Click the icon or visit Font Awesome. As you type the icon will update in the box, so you can easily see if the class name is correct.


2 In the second box enter the full url starting http/https to your site.

3 Click the button to add link to list

4 Click 'Update' to save.

To remove links, click the cross corresponding to the box. To reorder links, drag and drop using the crosshair grab handle.

Social plugin that adds social share buttons to your music collections screens. It is recommended you use this as it supports pretty much all the important social networks at the click of a button.

When you create your preferred AddThis share option, you'll need to enter the data in the boxes provided. More info and integration instructions for AddThis can be found here.

Pushover is a push service to send notifications to various devices and apps. If you have a Pushover account, enter your user key and token. Pushover also supports using a standard email, which you can enter in the email settings.

To test if the pushover system is working, you can send a test message to your devices via the mobile phone icon.

For direct link sharing on Facebook, Twitter & Google. The code is hidden and auto created for each page, so you don't have to worry about it. For Twitter, you must enter your Twitter page username on the Twitter API tab.

Your Facebook insights ID if you have one, else leave blank.
